Sisters of the Road Workshop — New Urban Signs

Our first workshop at Sisters of the Road was a great success! Seven participants showed up, ready and eager to work. We introduced the Open Circles Project, and talked about the history of the Hobo signs from the Depression Era in the US. We shared some examples of the old signs and encouraged participants to create New Urban (Hobo) Signs that are more relevant to our times. You can view some of these New Urban Signs on our Facebook page, and use this worksheet as a guide for crafting your own signs.

Share your creations with us here and on Facebook!
